Sometimes the best images are right in our face, or in the backyard!
June Machinery
Something simple or something complex, it’s your choice. The simplest machine is a lever, but what is the most complex, and what story can your image tell about it ?
July Painted with light
Light source(s) can either be used to selectively illuminate parts of the subject or to “paint” a picture by shining it directly into the camera lens with a sufficiently slow shutter speed usually a second or more. The light source itself does not have to appear in the image. We are looking for something magical, with the light source made by man or nature.
August Red
An image where the color red either predominates, commands attention, or tells a story.
September Underneath
Either an image of something taken from underneath, or something that IS underneath.
October Flowers
Either an image of flowers, or where flowers are an important part of the image.
November Best Of
Each member submits up to 6 prints and 6 dpi’s from their entries entered in club competition during the year. Merits will be awarded and one print and one dpi will be selected as the print and dpi of the year. Merits (6 points) will be added to members progressive points score, and dpi and print of the year will count 10 points to the winning members progressive score.
